30 days of Nights, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Strangers, Thirteen Ghost’s, The Grudge, Jeepers Creepers, and one of my personal favorites is The Descent ( alternate ending). These are the creepy one’s, if you’re into slasher gore types, I like the Saw franchise, Hostile, 2001 Maniacs etc.
I just watched a so so one last night called Trick r Treat....it was ok if you just want to kill time. ( no pun intended) ha ha.
I could go on, I have a huge collection of horror/Slasher flicks.

A few recommendations:

1. Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer: Not a lot of people have seen it, though it has a tremendous cult following. Based loosely on the life of Henry Lee Lucas, this is one of the very few horror films I’ve seen that “got to me”. Not a typical Hollywood slasher at all.

2. Jack Frost: Super low-budget comedy-horror flick from APIX entertainment. If you want a flick with some warped humor, this might be your thing:

3. Suspiria and Deep Red by Dario Argento. A couple of pretty good Italian horror films. Argento has an interesting eye for color in his visuals.

4. Magic - As much psychological thriller as true horror, but still a good, creepy movie with Anthony Hopkins and Ann Margaret.

5. White Zombie - Old school horror from Bela Lugosi (1932). It’s a classic, but I’m betting not a lot of people have seen it recently. So it might meet your needs.

6. The Brood - Very creepy early work (1979) from David Cronenberg.

I find a lot of people haven’t seen “Fright Night,” which was a very fun vampire movie.

Fright Night was a good one, definitely.

The first “House” movie was kind of fun. Not great, but fun.

“Motel Hell” is awesome in its own right. “It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent Fritters!”.

I was trying to remember the title of that one! Great and fun movie!

Titus is a 1999 Italian/American/British film adaptation of Shakespeare’s revenge tragedy Titus Andronicus.

Educational and scary as hades.

Watched a real low budget winner a few years back

1971 “Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things”

Hippies go to an island. Dig up corpses to abuse. They come alive and kill everyone. Dead hippies is always good.

Take your pick from among the horror sections.
I recommend The Video Dead and Galaxy of Terror!
[Yes, I am somewhat sadistic when it comes to B movies.]

I love 1408. It’s on my list of 20 favorite moviess. And I don’t like horror films.

1408, with the theatrical ending, is really more like a great old Twilight Zone. That’s the one I like.

If you get the one with the original ending, it’s more like a horror film.

There was a movie that had the “Professor” form Gilligan’s Island and some giant ants.

closest anyone has come yet to making a good Lovecroft movie.
Possibly excepting "The Dunwitch Horror" in the 60s.

It make you wonder - was Barack 0bama conceived in the back seat of a '58 Plymouth Fury?
