A few weeks ago she injured her back at work. She has been on light duty. Last night she was told that she must go back to lifting and pushing heavy things. She told her boss that her back still hurt. Her boss said she didn't believe her.

So, off we went to have her back looked at again. She now has to go to a chiropractor and she can't lift anything over ten pounds.

What gets me is ...Sarah rarely misses work. She has worked there for close to seven years and I bet she has been out sick for about 5 days in all those years.

It sounds to me that the boss is throwing his weight around. “You must obey me because I’m the boss.” Very insecure of their own position and authority.

Her boss said she didn't believe her.

How unwise (to say the least). Sarah's past work attendance should be given more consideration. People that don't tend to call in sick much are probably not lying about it when they actually are sick or in this case, injured.

Hope she starts feeling better soon. I'm not recalling, did she hurt herself at work?
