That is so beautiful, Polly! I’ve always loved your house with those beautiful mountains behind it. I bet its gorgeous when those trees on the hills behind you start turning.

I do hate to disappoint you but there are only bushes on the foothills, and they don’t turn colors, just a dull brown! LOL
We DO have about 4 homes on our street with large maple trees and they all turn different shades of orange. The palm trees stay green year round.
This photo was actually taken at Christmas time. The tree had been trimmed harshly back in June by a tree surgeon and it didn’t start turning and leaves falling until December!
I think I am going to turn in for the night. I’m yawning even though it is only 8:30!!
Have a great evening and thanks again for all your great graphics!

In China, nothing says 'upwardly mobile' like a $6,000 toilet The nation's housing boom has unleashed demand for fancy plumbing. Buyers are trading low-tech latrines for cutting-edge commodes loaded with features.
Reporting from Beijing Like Goldilocks searching for the perfect perch, Dong Yu tested one seat after another in the glitzy showroom. Some were too pricey, others too fussy. Then he found one that was just right.
"You've got to try this," he shouted to his wife, to the delight of a fawning saleswoman. "This one's really comfortable."
The seat in question was a $400 toilet made by Japan-based Toto Ltd. Dong and his wife had just bought a 2,200-square-foot apartment in a tony section of China's capital and were prepared to splurge on a pair of eye-catching commodes. This model, with its slim tank and ultra-quiet flush, was exactly what the couple were looking for.
"Today, Chinese people like to focus on the kitchen and the bathroom in their new apartments," said Dong, 37. "It's a big difference from when I was a kid. We had to share public bathrooms, which only had squat toilets."

Theres An App For That
October 2, 2010
Remember when phones were for making phone calls? With the advent of the smart phone, what was once a way to talk to someone has become a storehouse of data. Add cell-phone applications (computer programs) to that, and you can read sports reports, play games, plan trips, find an apartmentor any of well over 100,000 other tasks available with an app.
Thats pretty amazing, but the apps for phones are nothing compared with the kind of apps Scripture gives us. The applications of the Bible are direct notes from God telling us how to apply the truth of His Word to all of life.
Take Philippians 2, for instance: The unity app (2:2), the humility app (2:3), the no-grumbling app (2:14), the shine-as-lights app (2:15). Or look at the apps of Ephesians 5: The imitate-God app (5:1), the walk-in-love app (5:2), the purity app (5:3), the tongue app (5:4). And the book of Proverbs? Its teeming with applications.
You dont have to wait for someone to offer these on the Internet. Just open the Bible and see the hundreds of ways to apply Scripture in your life. Got a question about the Christian life? Search the Bible. The answers are there, waiting to be discovered.
Cling to the Bible; this jewel and treasure
Brings life eternal and saves fallen man;
Surely its value no mortal can measure;
Seek for its blessing, O soul, while you can. Smith
The Bible has treasures of wisdom for youread it and apply it!
Read: Ephesians 5:1-7
Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge.
Proverbs 23:12

HAPPY CATURDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
THE SONG OF THE JELLICLES
JELLICLE CATS come out to-night Jellicle Cats come one come all: The Jellicle Moon is shining bright - Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball.
Jellicle Cats are black and white, Jellicle Cats are rather small; Jellicle Cats are merry and bright, And pleasant to hear when they caterwaul. Jellicle Cats have cheerful faces, Jellicle Cats have bright black eyes; They like to practise their airs and graces And wait for the Jellicle Moon to rise.
Jellicle Cats develop slowly, Jellicle Cats are not too big; Jellicle Cats are roly-poly, They know how to dance a gavotte and a jig. Until the Jellicle Moon appears They make their toilette and take their repose: Jellicle Cats wash behind their ears, Jellicle dry between their toes.
Jellicle Cats are white and black, Jellicle Cats are of moderate size; Jellicle Cats jump like a jumping-jack, Jellicle Cats have moonlit eyes. They're quiet enough in the morning hours, They're quiet enough in the afternoon, Reserving their terpsichorean powers To dance by the light of the Jellicle Moon.
Jellicle Cats are black and white, Jellicle Cats (as I said) are small; If it happens to be a stormy night They will practise a caper or two in the hall. If it happens the sun is shining bright You would say they had nothing to do at all: They are resting and saving themselves to be right For the Jellicle Moon and the Jellicle Ball.
