National Enquirer ^

"I've had ENOUGH!" After two years in the White House fishbowl, fed up first lady Michelle Obama sobbed those emotional words to her husband during a tense confrontation.
In a blockbuster ENQUIRER exclusive, well-placed Washington, D.C., insiders have revealed behind-the-scenes details of President Barack Obama's heated face-to- face with his 46-year-old wife - a spat that erupted over headline-making comments attributed to her in a revealing new book.
According to the book, Michelle told France's first lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy, 41, that she absolutely detests her role as America's first lady, blasting it as "hell," and admitting: "I can't stand it!"

Troubled. Concerned. Uncertain. And angry. A lot of anger. And what about the mood of the president himself? The same
They see the Tsunami coming in 35 days.
Just prior to the midterm elections, a significant figure within the party is going to break out and talk publicly to the media about much of what has and is going on both at the White House and Congress. We need to have a bit of a cleansing process as a party, and this individual is now willing to do just that.
Hillary breaking out ?

Should he leave or not run.. it is imperative that his legitimacy to the Presidency be verified. Because if it is NOT, it would nullify his and the dems entire agenda. Nothing he signed would be valid, constitutionally. There is no “possession is 9/10ths of the law” in the office of the President. The alternative is beyond the capability of any deliberative body to reverse all of the damage legislatively. They do not have the guts.

does the N.E. actually have investigative journalists who could be considered on-par with the N.Y. Times, etc?Reporters like, oh, Jason Blair?

Well that makes two of us Yaelle.
I agree with everything you said.
and you bring up a good point...it’s easier in the press looking like Bruni or the Jordanian King’s wifey ..thin and svelte and stylish than Ms. Obama
my wife...ever the righty like me and fashion maven extraordinaire...would still offer to help dress Michelle...her stylist is just way too awful...you can tell she is over her head there
I could see not wanting to be in the public eye so much...what little I’ve had with media in my own life left me not too happy

Nobody mentioned his wedding ring on this thread. Is it back on?
Good Question! I was wondering the same thing.

or that Obama will resign (thinking right after the November elections) and Biden will take over, asking Hillary to be his VP. Hell serve for a little while, then have health issues and Hillary will take over. Not sure who shell ask to join her. But, thats what I think is a viable scenario.I just threw up a little in my mouth...

Not saying that I like Hillary as President—I do not!!— but that she wants it and I could see this happening. The dems know that they’re in trouble and that unless things change drastically, they stand to lose power for a long time to come. Situations like that demand drastic action.

Oh, I know you aren't endorsing it, just mentioning that it may be a possiblity. I think it a very likely one though; at a deep gut level it just rang true. I wouldn't be a bit surprised.
PS: we'll probably see a dick morris article saying it next week.

Make sure you read the follow up info this person has provided. Looks like Pelosi is in trouble.
Also interesting was the fact that Obama was in such a hurry to get a health care bill that he didn’t care what was in it. He got it and then told those who voted for it they were on their own regarding consequences in the election.
The admission that they had not read it and that neither had he was exactly what we knew all along but now they are upset that they listened to him and they are going down in flames.

During the first 18 months or so of their occupation of the WH, probably not. Given what has transpired over the past few weeks, perhaps so. I guess the answer does depend upon whether such a story would sell papers.

Frankly.....I think most major fishwraps in this country are generally left socialist leaning businesses.
IOW, the deck is stacked. And their editors will not let that lean, come back to plumb.
