She did a fantasic job in that film. So many other elderly Americans play the part of aging gracefully and graciously. We are blessed beyond measure to have them.
Well she made it.
Still, my friend is 100 years and 3 months old. Blood pressure is better than most people over the age of 30 and outlook on life is always a joyful disposition that is met with a smile and a laugh.
When people ask her what the secret to a long life is she replies:
Its a great life if you dont weaken.
To which I added:
Dont take life so seriously. You wont live through it anyway.
Yep, I heard about this on tv a short while ago. Can’t knock 100 years. I actually met Stuart several years before she was in “Titanic.” Seemed rather surreal a few years later, when she received all that unexpected, new-found fame. Especially as it was so many years after her 1930s heyday! I was quite happy for her.
