Washington Redskins defensive tackle and former good football player Albert Haynesworth did an interview yesterday with DC's 106.7 The Fan.
In it, Haynesworth attempted to defend his offseason actions --specifically, refusing to attend mandatory practices and team activities because he was upset about a potential position change, despite the fact that the Redskins have given him $32 million for just over a year of "service". He likely didn't win anyone over with his argument.
Here's what he said:
I guess in this world we dont have a lot of people with, like, backbones, Haynesworth said. Just because somebody pay you money dont mean theyll make you do whatever they want or whatever. I mean, does that mean everything is for sale?
I mean, Im not for sale. Yeah, I signed the contract and got paid a lot of money, but
that dont mean Im for sale or a slave or whatever.

I think he’s been smacked in the head ...one too many times.
Douchebag....
....not a slave, but not terribly bright, either.
Slaves don’t get to pick and choose which of their master’s commands they will obey. Employees may choose to ignore their employers instructions (assuming that the employer’s instructions are both legal and moral), but they will be terminated sooner or later for insubordination
W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R.
He’s not a nose tackle, either.
Slave no... it was his decision to act as he did. He does understand that his actions do have consequences doesn’t he?
That is why he is living in a free society and is able to make his own decisions - good or bad...
His slave bit was a bit too much and a bit disgusting to actual past slaves (very long ago mind you)!
He wasn’t a slave to his grade school English teacher, either.
I wish that I be paid that goodly.
He hosed the owner, Snyder, because he can’t play football worth a crap. He’s not a slave but he is a mediocre football player with a sense of entitlement to rival nobama’s illegal alien aunt.
He and the useless Reevis can take their act on the road.
Albert is a sorehead for sure. His mindset about slavery is telling thorugh. The NFL is extremely brand conscious about projecting a wholesome family form of entertainment with a backdrop of happy diversity. So we see the Rooney rule where team owners are “required” to interview a quota of black coaches, the NFL channel is staffed nearly exclusively with black talkingheads, Goodell ( a do gooder leftist) made sure Limbaugh could not participate in ownership and the list goes on and on. In the end, its still a bunch of rich white guys.
Yes, it has really become a reverse problem hasn’t it? Too bad that color blindness went from being a good thing to a diversity requirement. Heck, maybe in the future we can actually get back to the best for the job...and the participants agree...
This epitomizes what is wrong with America. He says he isn't for sale, yet he took the sale price offered to him. If he really wasn't for sale, then he wouldn't have signed the contract. Haynesworth needs to go move in with Heath Schuler ASAP. He owes every Redskin fan a huge apology.
Poor Albert.
A black man with a backbone wouldn’t employ the racist word “slave.”

That would be great but I think it will only happen after the eradication of most parasitic trial lawyers and a complete replacement/restructure of the public education system. Albert is a product of the “system”. I doubt either of these things will occur any time soon, but one can hope.
