Mossberg 500 is a series of shotguns manufactured by O.F. Mossberg & Sons. The 500 series comprises widely varying models of hammerless, pump action repeaters, all of which share the same basic receiver and action, but differ in bore size, barrel length, choke options, magazine capacity, and "furniture" (stock and forearm) materials
It used the samw bayonet that was issued for the Springfield 1903.
Not bad.
My ‘97 was made in 1922. 30” barrel with a full choke, it smokes trap targets from the 27 yard line.
If you’ve seen any of the Mauser rifles that were imported from China, you’d know how they could wear out a 97. I bought a couple of those rifles, and there wasn’t one salvageable part on them, even the sights were worn out. And I’ve seen a lot of old 97’s that would drop the hammer when you closed the slide too hard. And no, not with the trigger depressed. They were just shot out.
It’s a standard 1917 rifle bayonet. Originals are worth $100+ these days.
LAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZ!!!
I can’t imagine wearing out a ‘97 that badly. Good thing the Chinese have overcome their quality control issues.... ;)
Not quite *nothing*.
Sure, you can clear your porch with a flamethrower, but you’ll likely burn your house down as well. Still, nothing like a wall of flames.
