With the exception if the rally on Saturday I've been sticking close to home. That means Missy gets to pose. I can get 2 or 3 shots before she gets disgusted and walks out but she always comes back, LOL.
It is good practice for using light bounce at different angles and strengths.
These are from the Sony A-200 with either the SAL 75-300 or the old Minolta 70-210 f4 Beercan lens.
A good zoom lens is as handy indoors as out.
Missy is GORGEOUS!
Our Attila used to have an expression like Missy’s in pic #3. We used to call it his “Evil-Kitty-Take-Over-the-World” look.
Thanks!
Lots of kitties are waiting for a forever home at the shelters. Just go for a visit and see which one schmoozes all over you! :)
My sincere condolences. Losing our best friends is so difficult. I have 3 indoor kitties and 3 semi-ferals that hang out on our lanai. I’d even miss the semi-ferals.
Oahu has lots of kitties here needing a good home! When you’re ready again, I know some good people who rescue kitties if you don’t want to go all the way down to Kaimuki to the Humane Society.
You've got to edit. A full size file is just too big to transmit, even if it takes no correction, and a monitor screen won't hold it. I keep a medium file in TIFF for future printing, usually 2700 X 1807 pixels. they go on a remote hard drive.
GIMP is an opens source edit program you can download free, a very capable Photoshop substitute.
Great story!
Absolutely gorgeous! Did you use natural light or flash?
Awww - precious! We were able to convince our first landlord here to add a lease rider recommended by the Humane Society to protect owners. Then we moved on post and pets were allowed. When we returned in 2001 we brought our cat with us from Texas. At that time we purchased (as it turned out the smartest move we’ve ever made) and could have any kittehs the association would allow.
I bounced the flash from the ceiling, direct flash is way too harsh. A white popcorn textured ceiling makes a great bounce surface.
Thanks!
As usual wonder pictures but the last one she is giving you the evil eye....very pretty kitty
Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that humans tend to prefer carnivores as pets? (Horses excluded, of course ... although in many respects they're just big vegetarian dogs.)
Good photos and beautiful animal!
ping-a-ling
Missy and my two could all be littermates.
I would have packed her up and shipped her off last night when I wanted to read a book. She will try to knock it right out of my hands so I’ll pay attention to her.
I really enjoy the cat pictures. Thank you.
