I’m sorry, but there’s nothing about Science Diet dog food that is nutritional for dogs. First ingredient: Corn. Second ingredient: chicken by-product. Third ingredient: animal fat (horse? cow? camel?). Yuck, yuck and yuck. And I hate that most veterinarians carry it in their offices, like it’s some super food.

I do not feed raw, though I know some breeders that do.

I have been super happy with the Orijen formulas.

Well, if having dogs sizing 90 lbs and above are living way beyond their lifetimes is any indication; such as 19 years, 15 years; 17 years and cat 19 years is any indication; I will stick with Science Diet.

Thanks so much for your comment.

Out of curiosity, what do you think coyotes eat? Plants, birds, animal fat, berries, dung, if necessary. If they got immunizations, we’d be up to our asses in them...and little else.

We feed ours Abady, and also raw vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, green beans), leftover beef, chicken and fish (from our meals), with an occasional can of wild Alaskan salmon.
