its' over- see ya' Lazio
(Excerpt) Read more at elections.nytimes.com ...
Does this mean that lazio is finally gone for good?
I sure hope so. There should be a rule against running after you’ve lost several consecutive statewide offices in a row.
Not really, but come on, Lazio. You’ve cost the NY GOP enough races.
Not familiar with Paladino. He is a real conservative? Does he have a chance in the general?
In all honesty, neither really look like they have a chance in November. At least Carl brings his own money (he’s a real estate millionaire from Buffalo).
He is the tea party candidate whose yard signs say “I’M MAD AS HELL.” Sure, he has a couple skeletons in his closet as any non-politician would (the ‘scandal’ in the primary was him forwarding anti-Obama emails hinting at his race).
Rick Lazio 37,711 27%
wow
I dunno. I grew up in NY State and when three guys with vowels at the end of their names are running for office, the fix is in (Palidino, Lazio, Cuomo).
Probably not - the unions will resort to all their usual tricks and the buses of homeless people and "community organizers" will be out in force in NYC. Plus the dead always vote for DemocRATs. That's my take from upstate at any rate.
But that doesn't mean we can't have some hope for change for a month or so ourselves. :-)

From http://www.rasmussenreports.com/state/new_york :
Cuomo v. Paladino: 58-29
Cuomo v. Lazio: 58-27
As I said earlier though, Lazio has a history of being a loser (a dismal showing against Hillary), and Carl has his own money.
Hell no. There will be another race in another election cycle. He’s young. He has plenty more losses left in him.
Lazio is a wimp Establishment GOPer. BE GONE!
LOL
The race starts tomorrow. Carl may well lose, but he’ll go down swinging. He’s not in this to lose.
To be elected, he needs to drive an oldsmobile off a bridge and murder a young woman. Wait that is for dims in Mass. Never mind.
I dont know much about Paladino but really like what I know so far. As for his chances in the general, I would say he’s the underdog.
Don’t any of these Democrats have skeletons in their closets? It’s always world news if they have something on us and ho hum when it’s them.
We need to bring a gun to a gunfight this time, those knives aren’t working out so well.
Tell Carl I said congrats! :)
Thank you both for your hard work.
3 votes for Paladino from my home in the Hudson Valley. Lazio is a retread squish and Paladino seems to be conservative. Not to mention, he’s loaded and seems very sharp.
The magnitude of the blowout so far is stunning. Lazio was up 20 points in July.
its’ getting to be an embarrassment for lazio- 31% in and Paladino already has twice as many votes (134K to 62K)...
