I have a feeling if this seat is adopted, terrorists won't be the only people causing trouble on airplanes. And personally, I think this is a plot on the part of the airlines to drive me completely around the bend.

16g certification, HIC, crash-worthiness? Well the FAA has dozed a bit during the past decade, but this would require complete brain death to approve.
Not to mention anyone stupid enough to buy a ticket on this.
And as far as the comment that “people ride horses for eight hours and are still comfortable” had to be written by someone that has never rode a horse at all.

And if you hit turbulence and get bucked off.. “Noooo score for that cowboy”
Try to hold on for the full 8 seconds.

I resisted the urge to comment about the expression on the woman’s face in the photograph and the shape of the seat.

Eventually you will first be corralled into one of these, then backed into the plane...

I don’t think the design is right. It should be designedmore like the McClellan saddle, with a hole in the middle.
This is a nonstarter. What oculd they possibly be thinking of?
To: La Lydia
It does not look comfortable at all!!!!!!!!!!

The seat looks remarkably plush!
Why not simply angle it back to remove weight off the legs?
Seems pretty silly to me.
