I’m a Beck fan. I’m convinced that he is doing America an enormous service. Beyond that, this Beck video clip, linked here at NRB is a must see. Really. Go watch it before you even read this. Excellent stuff.
That said — and I trust you’ve seen the video now … no cheating — during the course of that monologue, speaking of Israel and the Arabs, Beck repeated an error that one frequently hears about matters in the Middle East, and which just frosts my tail.

It may be possible that the idea of religious war, of holy war in the sense that we understand it today, may have been introduced to Europe’s conceptual vocabulary by the encounter with the Arabs. There is just too much evidence that something else, something bigger, is going on.
Islam is at war everywhere it exists. If there are non-muslims within reach, they'll war with them. If there aren't any handy, then they will slaughter one another.
The only peace in the middle east is the peace that exists within Israel's borders, and that is under attack each and every day.
If you “have a bone to pick with Beck”; why don’t you email him and tell him what your gripe is or call his radio show.

Granted, the Ashkenazim do stick out, but as far as the Mizrachi Jews, you can't tell them apart from Arabs.
In fact, the Arabs frequently take advantage of this for infiltration purposes.

This blog by Joe Blough goes all over the map with enough trivialities to sink a ship. As try as I could, I never could figure out just what this bone Blough had to pick. He failed in my mind to keep his focus on the bone.
He get’s about a gazillion emails every day. He’s a stand up guy, but there’s no reason to think he would notice an email from mw.
In fact, my posting something like this is much more likely to be noticed by his staff.
Like I said, I’m a fan. But I don’t have illusions about how likely he is to notice what I say.
Well, I did myown research. And that is what I concluded.

I’m actually not sure why the editors decided to repost the piece, I have to assume that they think that there is interest out there in the subject. They’re pretty bright characters by and large.
It was on that basis that I decided that maybe I ought to stick it out here on FR.
But enough about boring me. Beck is a fascinating guy.
My hope is that somebody on his staff will look into the history on this matter and clue him in to the real deal.
I will vanish in the flood of history. But Beck will get a footnote somewhere. I simply want to help him get it right.
Abd even more than that I want US, the American people, to get it right.
The course of world history depends to a shocking extent on the common understanding of the common American. Thank god we have a secure basis in logic and reason.

Glenn Beck is a busy man, but he shuld strive for accuracy and his staff should take an keen interest in your email. He has has new site now, THE BLAZE and perhaps his managing editor might be another useful contact. IIRC correctly, his name is Scott Baker.

I think Beck just like O’Reilly are doing more of a service to their wallets that anything else, they’ve become to much in love with themselves.With so many important things going on in the world that they could report on, they spend way to much time patting each other on the back
Classifying Islam as a religion is the equivalent of affording the same courtesy to Hitler's concept of Ayrian Supremecy. Affording reverential respect toward the Qur'an is the equivalent of doing the same toward Mein Kampf.
The violent nature of Islam is proof that it is not a religion, but only a terribly fallable ideology. If its concepts contained elementary truth, it would not be necessary to spread the ideology by the sword in the beginning or today or tomorrow.

Are you saying that the Judeo part of our Judeo-Christian values is evil? That our allies, the Jews, are Satan’s children and no different from the members of the “religion of peace?”
