There are lots of "lukewarm" Christians. (Rev. 3:16) These are Christians who go whichever way the wind blows. They don't want to make waves.
This is a characteristic of human nature and something we all must guard against (as Christians).
But seeing as how many Christians are lukewarm (vote democrat, embrace homosexuals [viz. Episcopalians]), would it follow that there are many muslims who similarly don't uphold Islam's murderous tenets?

Humans are lukewarm, just the way most people are. Islam unfurtunately is a direct path to insanity, and most of the arabs who are muslim will go with their death culture when it comes down to it. The cult of islam is not peacful in any way, shape, or form.

Actually, I’ve felt for a long time that Christians who believe Christ founded the religion for the purpose of endorsing anal sex and Muslims who hand wave all that stuff in the Koran about killing the infidel are basically made from the same cloth.

I'd like to believe that. Unfortunately, I'm growing increasingly convinced that the 'moderate' ones want the same thing the extremists want, they just don't have enough fire in the gut to undertake the jihad. But they let the extremists go in first, kill and destroy and topple... then they ease in, quietly, smiling, polite, and build a mosque on the site, and work their way into positions of power, bring over family and increase their demographic footprint. Agitate for recognition and special privileges. File lawsuits that increasingly marginalize other religions and create more and more wiggle room for Islam. And then when they have enough power they appropriate more resources, pass more laws, and basically squirm and swell until they have accomplished without further bombing their ultimate goal: a government in compliance with Shariah.
And no matter how nice and peaceful they are about it, I don't want it. I think it's a bad, bad thing.
The ones I have known are moderate because they are nominal muslims.....they know as little about what is in their book as most nominal Christians know about the Bible. For the most part they just want to make a living and raise their kids in peace. Problem is, they will have to choose a side some day, I’m guessing some day soon. Satan created islam to be the end times “one world religion”, and the battle with the true and living God is coming. I hope and pray that many will see the truth and side with it.

Certainly there are peaceful Muslims. However it has been my experience that they are mostly those whose faith is at some distance from the center of the faith. In Thailand’s South almost half of those killed by the radicals are Muslims who want to get the benefits of Thai citizenship and who learn Thai language. They are, in short, not fundamentalists.
I don’t deny the attack on our country and its liberties. I hope you don’t think I support the muslim infiltration of our country. I question our president and islam. I just think we need to keep it together and attack the enemy where it is. Not necessarily the in the next office.they aren’t all packing explosives, bone goats, and beat their wives.

Three things everyone must know about Islam,
1) the Koran was written by ONE MAN who instructed them that if any verse contradicts another, the one written last is the one to be obeyed. The first half is all peaceful and good. The second half tells Muslims that it is okay to murder anyone who will not submit.
2) The Koran tells Muslims that it is okay to LIE in order to advance Islam. So Muslims will lie to your face and feel that they have obeyed their false god.
3) Islam is much like Judaism in that it is much more than a religion. It is a political and cultural system for the Muslims entire life.
Yes, although passive might be a more accurate term for many Muslims. And, just as members of any other religion, they can have varying degrees of understanding, devotion and interpretation of their belief system.
To paint with a broad brush is to unfairly ascribe the worst motives to each and every person of a group.
Then of course we could expect they do not attend their Mosque as well, where they get fed Islamic beliefs. Sorta like Bo under wright..but he didn't listen or believe what he listened to either.
