This day of service was in a bill passed by Congress and signed by the Pres ent, that’s how.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it was the Edward M Kennedy Serve America Act, and we kicked it around when it was being proposed and voted on. Nobody then liked the National Day Of Service, and looking over this thread, people like it less now. Much less now.
