Playboy Bunny, Tiffany Livingston, Tries To Exit Jet Mid-Flight
My Fox NY ^ | Today | Staff Report

Posted on 09/10/2010 7:48:40 AM PDT by day10

MYFOXNY.COM - A Playboy centerfold tried to bust out -- midair -- from a jet amid a bad case of high anxiety.

Law enforcement officers met a JetBlue plane at its arrival gate in Newark Liberty International Airport Thursday afternoon because of a passenger who was causing a disturbance on board, the airline reported.

The passenger was identified as 21-year-old Tiffany Livingston. She was aboard JetBlue Flight 522 from Florida to Newark, N.J., on Thursday when she bolted from her seat and tried to open the door of the plane.

She had became agitated because of turbulence and appeared to grab the handle of an emergency door, a source told Fox 5 News. Then two off-duty police officers who happened to be on the flight stopped her.

The plane, Flight 552 from Fort Myers, Florida, landed safely and without incident, said Alison Croyle, a spokesperson for the airline. "JetBlue will cooperate fully with local authorities, who are investigating this matter," she said in a statement.

"She said she's gone through this before, but never this bad, and didn't have ... her medication," one source told the New York Post .

Livingston was detained and placed in federal custody.

She was the centerfold for the debut edition of VIP, the Singapore version of Playboy, in which she was described as "not just another pretty face."

"Tiffany boasts the immaculate poise of a mature model wrapped with a bubbly demeanor," the profile said.

Asked if she believed in destiny, Tiffany Livingston posted, "I'm the kind of person, who needs to feel like everything happens for a reason. When you date a guy and it goes badly, that's horrible. But if you can write a song about it, then it was worth it."

So, barometric pressure COULD be a factor?

More like claustrophobia and lack of control, I despised being on packed civilian planes with the doors locked and people in control of you, but C-130 military flights were much easier, being able to move around, get into your sleeping bag if you were cold, the noise, accessing your gear in your pack, and the yelling, it was a much more relaxed and roomier atmosphere for me.

No, at least not that I was aware of.
She had a thing for brainy geeky type guys.
(Guess which category I fit in at the time)

I think it’s very common as well. The last time I flew, one of the women in our group was forced to sit in a middle seat of about six, I think. She was close to panic on the way over, and she confided to us at the terminal that she was terrified that on the return trip she wouldn’t be able to keep herself under control. I would never have guessed it, but not everyone shows how afraid they are.

I recently had a very similar weird experience on the High Road out of Taos this summer, so it might actually have been something to do with altitude, altho since the cabin in an airplane is pressurized I don’t know if that’s really possible (and I have been on that road previously without incident).

Taos sits at around 7,000 feet, so the High Road out of there will put you in altitudes equivalent to what you'd feel on an aircraft - between 6,000 and 8,000 feet - which are maintained to prevent hypoxia (oxygen deprivation), which can occur over 10,000 feet.

Yeah, I don’t like MRI machines either, altho now they have a mirror so you can look out instead of up at the wall less than half an inch from your face. I always thought fear of flying was a combo of claustrophobia, fear of loss of control, fear of heights, etc. Interestingly my dad was a pilot and I used to fly with him as a kid, and loved it. Didn’t develop this til my thirties.

Oh, I am a card-carrying MENSA geek (and that is where I met my wife), but I also deadlift north of 600lbs.

My overwhelming goal growing up in a small New Mexico town was to Get The Hell Out. Football was the answer.

Of course, now, I live in a smallish New Mexico town.

I’ve asked a number of doctors thru the years, but they ALL just say, “take drugs”. LOL A doctors answer to everything.

Well, Miss Staplegun 1993 just may be a possibility then.
Cute enough girl, kinda creepy though when you got her talking about her personal likes and beliefs.
And if you had a girl tell you, “You’re more like a brother to me” in a breathless voice during passionate kissing, you likely met her.

I was watching the GPS and I think the sensation started at around 8200 or 8400 (I forget for sure). It’s on that Kit Carson Forest part. Very lovely and not one of those scary roads. But it’s up and down up and down and when it would get to that certain point I would have this sensation of my face and hands going numb, and chest pressure. Then when we would go below it would subside. I tried to google, but no luck, so I guess it was nothing to get concerned about.

It’s probably better than hurling oneself off of a jet in flight. :)

In an earlier story it said some passengers tackled her.

"It's OK, folks, I'll handle this one!"

Somehow, I don't think I'd have that kind of luck if someone went crazy on my flight. It'd either be a fat, sweaty guy whho stripped off all his clothes, or stinky jihadist underwear bomber with people screaming at me "Make it inert!! Make it inert!!"

I’m not fond of heights, it takes a lot of my mental energy to force myself to do rock climbing, rappelling, and such.
