Cool story. Nice to see a Maryland story that doesn’t involve a shooting, wasteful government spending, general liberal idiocy regarding the “topic du jour” (global warming, transgendered rights, etc.), or political corruption.

Good stuff.

I've been drinking hard cider for years.

Fantastic. They’ll get some business from me. Hard cider is wonderful.

The only cider I knew existed when I was a kid was hard cider. I was amazed that they made “apple cider” without booze in it.

I'll bet that some early immigrant from England sold hard cider there before now (ca.1680-1760). Maybe there were no tax records. Sometimes, when selling things like hard cider, the records get lost, or things don't get recorded. Sometimes. ;)

Hard cider can be purchased in NM. But some of it requires paying taxes to the crowngooberment.

A dear little old lady I knew used to give me a pint of
apple jack that she made every year. I don’t know what the
process was but it was a kind of apple brandy that was tart
and wonderfully flavored. Recipe died with her. Damn!
