Got a recipe?
Add a great big glump of sour cream on the top, and you’ve got even more of a winner.

The Texas Fried Frito Pie is the winner of the biggest food prize for this year's state fair. It's right next to the Lipitor booth.

Sounds good, maybe a deep fried candy bar for dessert.

Did this beat the deep-fried beer, or was that technically in the “beverages” category? ;-)

Leave it to Texas. I read somewhere last week that some guy down there came up with deep-fried
beer.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Our family has always enjoyed baked Frito Pie. Easy do.
One layer crushed Frito
One layer of left over home made Chili
One layer of Cheddar Cheese or Mexican blend cheese.
Repeat all until you reach the top of your Casserole dish. Top with more cheese.
Bake at 350 until melted and brown on top.
