One of the trapped Chilean miners is dreading his rescue after his wife met his secret mistress at the entrance to the San Jose mineSo, in other words, then: they both ended up getting the shaft. ;)

“Take your time guys” and “It’s nice down here, I think I’ll stay” were heard later in the day from an unidentified miner.

How’s he gonna dig his way out of this one?
Looks like a role reversal since the wife is no longer in the dark.

On the brighter side, Yonni has time to contemplate his situation and make a cogent decision as to his predicament. Most men caught in this situation have seconds to make a decision that will last a lifetime. Most men caught in this situation also have to make the decision under severe stress, like having a gun pointed at them. Yonni is lucky...

Reminds me of the toast the Stapleton crew used during their trip to the Antartic. “To our wives and sweethearts, may they never meet.”

Meanwhile, the captives have been hit with an alcohol and tobacco ban by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) experts helping the rescue. I must've missed something here. Why are NASA physicians helping the Chilean miners? I don't necessarily object (unless it's part of that Muslim outreach thing), but this just isn't making any sense to me. Maybe another cup of coffee will help...

And so it went on for a fortnight; till a big wind blew off the top of the tree, and opened up the hole and let in the rain.
Then Timmy Tiptoes came out, and went home with an umbrella.
But Chippy Hackee continued to camp out for another week, although it was uncomfortable.
