To be honest Jaycee, I don’t recall wearing polyester!

Thanks, Jaycee! It’s quite an honor to have a street named after you, indeed! I’ll look forward to one day when they do that for me! LOL!

Jerry Lee Lewis was born September 29, 1935! Tomorrow, he will be 75 years old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
He was married 6 times, the last time for 20 years to Kerrie, and they divorced in 2004. (She is STILL all over his web-page.)
He lives in Nesbit, Mississippi, just south of Memphis, and tours of his home are given several days a week, (for a cost, of course.)

Thanks, yorkie. I would never have recognized him. He can still sing and play the piano, but he’s toned it down a lot. But then, haven’t we all? ;-)

Thanks for the video, Yorkie! What a legend?
To: yorkie
I’m glad you found that! I told Charlie that I hated I missed him on the View. I don’t usually watch the View ‘cause I don’t care for most of those women!!
He can still play that piano, too! Getting older is not for sissies, as they say!! Thanks, yorkie!

Yep! DWTS comes on in about 10 minutes. Thinking Michael Bolton is going home tonight. Don’t think he’s good at all. Like Barry Manilow, really good singer, but can’t dance at ALL!
To: yorkie
Now look at all the info you have! Thanks!

Come Back
September 29, 2010
The people of Israel had backslidden, and God wanted Hosea to show them how much that hurt Him. So, in the first few chapters of Hosea, we read a bizarre story: God commanded the prophet to marry a prostitute named Gomer. Put on display as the faithful husband of an unfaithful spouse, Hosea experienced a pain similar to what God felt when Israel was spiritually unfaithful.
As Hosea wrote the ending of his book, he made it clear that despite the pain the people of Israel caused the living God, He still promised healing, forgiveness, and fruitfulness if they would return to Him: I will heal their backsliding, He said. I will love them freely . . . . Those who dwell under his shadow shall return (Hos. 14:4-7).
Life for the person who turns his back on God is often characterized by guilt and dissatisfaction. The truly born-again believer who has fallen into a lifestyle of sin knows deep down that spiritual unfaithfulness to God takes a toll.
But just as the God of grace offered Israel forgiveness and fruitfulness, even so today He offers restoration to the truly repentant (1 John 1:9). Have you made poor choices that have caused you to slip away? Come back. Repent and seek restored fellowship with the Lord today.
If youve rebelled and turned away
From what you know is true,
Turn back to GodHe will forgive,
His pardon waits for you. Sper
Its not too late to make a fresh start with God.

Hi, Pam - Yes, thank you for these links! Enjoyed the Hustle - that was fun to watch, and the Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited" has always been a favorite of mine. Several years ago I was putting together music for a style show, and that was the one I chose for casual/play wear. It was fun to see the models come 'dancin' down the runway. I love the song! :)
P.S. Love the sisters' dresses in that video. LOL

Have to agree about Michael Bolton's dancing
abilities - he's not good at all, but I felt sorry for him for the way the judges treated him with their remarks Monday night.
It was time for him to go home - I really don't think he was going to overcome his awkwardness and posture.
To: Mama_Bear
I know! Isn't that just unbelievable? I would think it was a joke or like a parody, or something, but she actually dances with him. He is seriously part of the show. Was there ever a time when anyone ever considered that sexy? LOL! Ewwwwwwwwww is right! It was awful - really gross in fact! LOL
Another 'performer' that I think is gross and can't stand to watch is Adam Lambert. I think he' s sleazy! Good voice, but NOT my cup of tea at all!
