Did you know.......3.)
Approximately 150 people are killed every year by falling coconuts. Therefore, you are more than 60 TIMES MORE LIKELY to be killed by a PALM TREE than a Pit Bull.
Not to mention, far too cool to be in the clique.
Scots/Irish/Welsh/Danish.
[not much nasty attitude there, hmm?]
I prefer knives, myself.
[they offer a much more “personal touch”]
Ouch.
Think about this now.
Has kids.
Mentions girlfriend.
[pity her]
Must be a divorce there, somewhere.
Let’s all take a wild guess what happened to the first wife.
I brought with me a 3/4 pit bull 1/4 black lab, named Luke, he never bit anyone. gentile dog.
He broke his chain once, a "neighbor" had a boxer, this boxer pinned my mother against the house and Shredded her bath robe, she was getting the paper.
Luke broke the chain and ran that dog off........he didn't even bite the dog but he did sit and guard my mom while she got herself back together.
It is how they are raised.
Damn I miss that dog.
Well, right now I have to take my sissy-girl arse to a biker bar.
They’re having a bike show and hubby wants to go hang out with his associates and blab about torque and cams and other boring stuff.
LOL
Which had no evidence of the numbers they provided. And if you research the 150 deaths claim, you will find that in the end, the number came from a single source which never provided evidence for the claim.
Well, I’d never seen one in person before and I wanted to examine it in detail.
Pretty cool bug, really....very patient about my nosiness, too....:)
I’ve seen the list elsewhere and it’s pretty accurate.
Dreadfully sorry you didn’t enjoy it.
Ah, thanks. Very nice.
I bet you could get a lot of snake-owners and snake-lovers pretty upset with statements like that.
There's even sites about bigots who attack snake-owners, who argue that people shouldn't be allowed to own dangerous snakes, there's a "snakes myth" site. No "leave your hands off my breed" site for them though. Otherwise, it is entirely ironic and hilarious to find an attack on snake-owners in a thread dedicated to attacks on people who attack pit-bull owners.
What's next, condemnation of people who raise alligators?
Thanks, that's a really good point. It's the same for my having a .458 WinMag elephant rifle, in order to keep rogue elephants out of my back yard. And what a great job it's been doing! I haven't had to shoot one since I got it! It just keeps them away in droves!

To bite the ass and tear the throat of night-prowling goblins?
To bark while doing so in order to wake me up so I can join the fun?
We have really cool laws in Texas about that sort of thing.
I don’t care about the list, I’m commenting on the “150 people killed by coconuts each year”. I’ve seen that all over the web, but every reference is based on the same single report, and that report gave no evidence for the claim.
Nobody knows how many people are killed by falling coconuts, in the United States or in the world.
Of course, it doesn’t really matter now, for the purpose of this thread, it was just a hook, not meant to be taken seriously apparently.
Because such a statistic is meaningless, and shows a lack of understanding of the concept of risk.
I can pretty much guarantee I will never be kiled by a falling coconut, by making sure I’m never under a tree with a coconut in it.
I can guarantee I will never be killed by a pit bull, by making sure nobody who lives anywhere near me is allowed to have a pit bull.
I bet more people are killed by tigers and lions than by pit bulls. But I don’t fear it, because my neighbors are prohibited from owning tigers and lions. It’s a system that works very well for wild or dangerous animals.
Of course, any animal can be dangerous. But given that my neighbor had to stand and watch as her loving dog was slaughtered by someone else’s pit bull, it brings the story closer to home.
I guess maybe my friend just wasn’t supposed to OWN a dog that couldn’t defend themselves against the noble pit pull.
*The glowing-eyed demon girl scares me more....:)) *
Believe me when I say, she should! ;)
“I bet you could get a lot of snake-owners and snake-lovers pretty upset with statements like that.”
I seem to recall a thread about that. Some fool wasted a perfectly
good snake in his back yard last year. Boy, some folks sure gave him hell over it.

Bad dog, not bad breed. He probably would’ve killed me, but our Great Dane bitch saw what was happening and killed him instead.
Anyway, the point is that the media tend to hype whatever is top of mind or whatever agenda they’re pushing. Along the lines of “dog attack” vs. “PIT BULL attack!” or “Congressman” vs. “REPUBLICAN Congressman!”.
I admit that if I see a powerful dog such as a Pit Bull Terrier or a Rottweiler I’m a little more wary, but I’ll be darned if I need more government regulation to protect me from them.
Remember when Dobermans were the big thing?
*Especially the ones idiotic enough to own a pit bull.*
I own guns, too. Lots of knives. And I have kids in the house! Oh my God!! I don’t deserve to live!!/s
