The doctor who found the body of 25-year-old professional golfer Erica Blasberg told Nevada investigators he hid a suicide note and pills because he wanted to spare her family embarrassment, according to a court document released Wednesday.
A Henderson police affidavit detailed the hours Blasberg and Dr. Thomas Hess spent together playing golf, watching TV in a casino sports book and in her home in the days before he found her dead May 9 with a plastic bag over her head.

Methinks Dr. Thomas Hess drugged her and then raped her. She accidentally died from the drug overdose and thus the cover-up. Either that or the doctor is just plain stupid.
Who puts a plastic bag over their head?? Strange way to commit “suicide”.
I believe that the “take a bunch of pills and then put a plastic bag over your head” method is “recommended” as very effective on blogs/sites on the Internet. Also have seen it on at least 2 TV shows.

Not really.
A lot of terminally ill patients are advised to use this procedure.
Take the pills to go to sleep, put the bag over the head before passing out. It really increases the chances of ‘success’.
I have seen it done. I once saw a guy who placed a bag over his head and then tied his necktie around the bottom of it to seal it. A Windsor knot. He left a note to close the windows and please feed his dog.
He sounds like an older doctor who was supposed to be treating her but was instead smitten with his hot, young, semi-celebrity patient and was embarrassed after that sort of "treatment" ended in her suicide.
The police probably found out the note was definitely written by her, and found his motive for hiding the note in the content.

I wonder if it’s assumed this gal was having an affair with this married doctor, and whether there’s a way to check the bag to see if he handled it?
