TONY Blair's much-hyped autobiography is more like "a love letter" to ex-US President George W. Bush, say insiders who have seen drafts of the book....

The News of the World can reveal Blair says he thinks Bush was the only politician in the world with the courage and commitment to take on al-Qaeda after the 9/11 terror attacks.

Watch for negative stories about Tony Blair in order to discredit his book. Had he played the left’s game and trashed President Bush, then you would see positive articles in the near future.

Just wait and see.

British Friends and Allies,

For this reason alone (and there are others) I have always, always admired Tony Blair.

This from an ardent conservative, and frequent critic of GWB on other issues.

And he'd be absolutely correct. President Bush maintained that resolve as the left and their MSM minnions crucified him for that resolve. Eventually a good portion of the Republican caucus in Congress folded as well and Bush maintained. A salute for President Bush.

It is actually very soon after all the slander against him. The Truth shines. Obama and his subterranean minions slandered him for their own political gain.

You mean like Blair’s involvement in the Lockerbie bomber deal?

But then we elected a POTUS who said he’d stand with the Muslims if things get ugly!

What insanity! How casually people took their comfort and safety. The left is hell bent on undoing what Bush and Blair - and the military did.

Don’t know how true a friend Blair was to Bush, or if this verbiage in his book is merely a ploy. But my mind goes back to Ronaldus Magnus’s funeral. Of course, Maggie Thatcher and Blair and all the biggies were there.

The scene I recall took place in the memorial service in DC. Most everyone was seated, including the Blairs, when GW and Laura were brought in, and on their way up the aisle they passed Tony and his wife, seated on the end of a row. As they walked by, Laura punched Tony’s shoulder and they flashed each other a smile. I was happy to see that.

Then as time passed and Blair was replaced as PM, he seemed to change; or at least the media led us to believe he had. Hope it was all media BS and that this material in his book is HONTO, as they say in Japan.

Bush clearly saw the big picture after 9/11.

The trouble with Bush was that he was not Patton when we needed a Patton.

Maybe that was unavoidable given the politics of the time.

But we needed a Patton. Now it is too late as the public would never accept a Patton.

End result: despite all the sacrifice, I fear we’re going to lose three wars.

Iraq and Afganistan will fall, sooner or later, after our combat troops leave. Just like Vietnam.

And the third war lost will be that of the Arab/Islamic street. They love a winner - it could have been us - and have no respect for a loser - that will be us.

And don’t be too quick to dismiss the average Islamist. A billion people over 20 years can do a lot of damage.

So what now? Vietnam’s sad finish did not, in the end, mortally weaken us. And that’s because of one thing: the election of Ronald Reagan.

My adult (and very intelligent) cousins are British, a married couple living in the London suburbs. He is a retired basso profundo opera singer from the Covent Garden opera. They are conservatives to the core (Tories). We exchange news and analysis on things political pertaining to our two countries. They love to get my forwardings of FR threads. They, along with other (intelligent) Brits, hate and distrust Obama.

My cousin said that although the British conservatives totally respect the U.S. feelings of admiration and warmth for Blair due to his support in the Iraq conflict, they disliked him intensely because he was and still is an intense socialist and they felt about him very much the same way we feel about Obama....that Blair was slowly destroying their beloved country with his unswerving, malignant socialist ideology and economicpolicies.

I received a newspaper column excerpt from The Telegraph from my cuz yesterday illustrative of how many Brits view Obama:

"I have the impression that for electoral reasons Obama is happy to sacrifice his relationship with Britain, and couldn't care a damn how we respond.

"He may well be toast in a a couple of years, a one-termer like the equally incompetent Jimmy Carter. Our Prime Minister had better be careful how his meeting with Mr. Obama comes across, though. Failure to stand up for one's country and any impression that our PM is trying to ingratiate himself with Mr. Obama will put his future at risk."

A letter-to-the editor includes this sentence....."Now that there is, in Mr. Obama, an openly anti-British president in the White House, is it not time for us to stop worrying about the 'special relationship' (between our two countries) and to recall an old saying that America does not have friends, only interests?"

And another question, LOL....."What will Mr. Obama think of next? Returning his framed photograph of the Queen?"

Interesting to get foreign perspectives on the snubbing and insults hurled by Obama to our allies, only one of which is Britain, of course.

BTW, the Brits also don't cotton to the Obama administration siding with the Argentine government over the Falklands....reminding one and all of their past unwavering support for the States with military and blood in the various American wars.
