The property held about seven to nine bears and 20 wolves, and possibly a lion and three or four tigers...

The filing also listed "Ceasar the Wrestling Bear" as a Mazzola trademark. For more than 20 years, Mazzola took money from people to wrestle a bear or...

Mazzola kept Caesar, a 700-pound bear...traveled the bar-and-carnival circuit, offering people — many of them drunk — the chance to wrestle Caesar or one of his other bears.

>>Mazzola’s street divides Cleveland’s outer suburbs from rural Lorain County, with an upscale development on the suburban side and older, widely separated homes on the other. His gate was closed Friday with a no-trespassing sign posted, and sheriff’s deputies were posted nearby. <<

Want to make a bet the Mazzola was there long before the Upscale development? Want to bet PETA and the owners who moved in after this guy wanted him gone?

I’m from that area. Colombia Station was the wilderness when I was a kid.

And I wouldn’t put it past PETA to try anything to get rid of the guy.

And they say potheads are stupid. I don't know of any pothead who would be dumb enough to wrestle a bear. But drunks will do anything.
