Properly cooked, eggs should not be a problem! I don’t like runny whites, never have never will. Don’t like raw eggs either. Wonder why the cdc is not concentrating on the cooking process instead of recalling millions of eggs. Is it on the shell or in the eggs or were the restaurants themselves less than clean?

Food perfection may be difficult to achieve, but proper heat in cooking can save a lot of trouble. That said, raw stuff is another story.

Because a lot of people like their eggs prepared with the yellow or white runny. Also eggs cook at a temperature low enough that it might not kill all the bacteria.

Or just hard boil em and use them for egg salad sandwiches.

Salmonellas pretty far down on the “most lethal pathogen” list.

Ain’t no terrorists crawling out of the woodwork with spray bottles of salmonella!

I am wondering about cooking eggs as well. A friend of mind got sick late Friday after eating scrambled eggs for breakfast. She was sick for about 48 hours, vomiting and diarrhea. How long after eating tainted eggs should the illness show up?
