I was not going to post on this thread until....

I started the habit of darning the holes in my socks when I sailed on the great lakes right after high school. I have a few pair at 45+ years old.

Now to the underwear...

My father died 18 years ago and my mother unloaded some of his clothing on me. Deep in the box was a single pair of linen boxer shorts. I remember my father having them when I was about 10. with my having reached age 62, the shorts are 50+ years old. I have never worn them. That would be too weird. they are neatly folded and in the dresser with my underwear. I have not been able to throw them away.
