Jennifer Aniston is firing back at Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly, after he responded to comments she made about single mothers by calling the actress comments "destructive to our society."
"Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth," Aniston told People magazine. "And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who've not yet found their Bill O'Reilly, I'm just glad science has provided a few other options."
While promoting her new film "The Switch," in which she plays a women who decides to get pregnant using a sperm donor, Aniston told reporters that "times have changed" and women no longer have to wait for a man to have a baby.
"Women are realizing it more and more knowing that they don't have to settle with a man just to have that child," she said. "Love is love and family is what is around you and who is in your immediate sphere."
On "The O'Reilly Factor" last week, the host accused the actress of "diminishing the role of the dad" and called her comments "destructive to our society."
"She's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that hey, you don't need a guy, you don't need a dad," O'Reilly said.
"Aniston can hire a battery of people to help her, but she cannot hire a dad," he continued. "And dads bring a psychology to children that is, in this society, under-emphasized. I think that men get hosed all day long in the parental arena...any man who leaves their children is not a man. Let's make that perfectly clear. But the fathers who do try hard are under-appreciated and diminished by people like Jennifer Aniston

Hey, I am in the book.
And with that, O’Reilly becomes part of a successful promotion campaign for the launch of “The Switch”. Nice work, Bill.
“...but for those who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly,”
She is an idiot, but that is pretty funny.
It's a typically condescending attitude from a Hollywood airhead who is surrounded by people who tell her how awesome she is all day. That women who wish to start a family and are looking for a decent man who can be a good and responsible husband and father are so casually dismissed as looking for "Prince Charming" shows what contempt she has for her audience.
Look at the light, empty, and instantly-forgotten movies she makes. I bet her fans are the same women who watch Sex and the City—women who like actresses who aren’t bombshells, as they’re too threatening, but who the fans can imagine are ‘just like me’ and would be pals with them in real life.
She is the same in every role, and every role she plays that I’m aware of is a variation on her Friends character. She’s not really an actress, she’s a line-reader.
Photoshop is for liars. She’s a good solid 7 with a nice wardrobe. Everything else is sprayed on her or the photo.
I will say one thing, Ang is ten times the better actress. Jen could never pull off the action heroine part. I saw Salt and though that Ang was great in it... Can’t wait for the next installment of what’s sure to be a multi picture series...
Now that I’m older, have gotten to see how the various type of hot age, and think more long term I might go back in time and agree. But whore hot (which is really what Jolie had) is pretty darn hot during those peak years.
Salt didn’t interest me but Ang is all around better at acting. Though Jen’s in Office Space, a true cult classic that will be worshiped by the cubicle bound for many decades.
Think you might have to multiply your happiness by 1000 to reach her level of happiness that she didn't become "Mommie?"
Definitely, post peak whore hot proves the old adage about the candle burning twice as bright.
She’s obviously not paid attention to the insructive tale of Elizabeth Hurley, a very beautiful English actress who bought into the single mom idea unil she became one and discovered that being a single mom, in her words, “sucked.” Shortly thereafter Liz got married, partly to provide a father for her child, who was fathered by another man.
Of course, all Jen would have to to is go to an ordinary grocery store’s parking lot and watch the logistical efforts couples go through to get into the store with their small children and babies. I’ve seen it and it’s a major team effort requiring full cooperation by mom and dad.
Joanna: Yeah, but I'm not about to go in and start taking money from the register.
Peter Gibbons: Well, maybe you should. You know, the Nazis had pieces of flair that they made the Jews wear.
Did she ever actually say that she wanted to give birth, or just own a baby?
She’s busy promoting a new movie she stars in in which she plays a single woman trying to get a baby.
This is about movie promotion and BoR fell for it.
