George Lazenby is given a pretty bad rap...he wasnt at all bad and the story was fantastic. I agree. OHMSS is my absolute favorite Bond film. It's storyline went word for word in comparison to Fleming's original novel.

It wasn’t too bad, even if it was a needless remake of “Thunderball.” Still, I prefer it to the tortuous Danny Craig outings. They had a Black Leiter who suited the role and wasn’t PCesque gimmicky, and Barbara Carrera was magnificent, THE scariest female villain out of the entire franchise.

Needless is a little harsh. I like the stuff that stays more true to the books. At least NSNA had Bond driving the proper car, as did the original Casino Royale.

There was no homo scene and nor did Craig suggest it. This was a false rumor started by disgruntled Brosnan fans on a website, craignotbond, that no longer exists.
"No. Although some homophobic anti-Craig websites reported rumors of a sex scene between Bond and Felix Leiter, this was purely an invention. Later reports attributing a quote to Craig that he wanted a gay scene in the next Bond film were equally untrue and were, in fact, quotes regarding his role in 'Infamous' that were taken out of context. "

Yeah. I’ve seen comments from Craig on the issue, but it was years ago.

We'd love to make a comeback, old boy.

According to "reliable sources" George Lazenby threw a major tantrum about the amount of money he was getting to replace Connery during filming of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and told mega-producer and owner of the Bond franchise, Cubby Broccoli, to go "F" himself. Not only did George get dropped from the next Bond movie up, but it was leaked to the press that he was canned because he couldn't act. A story that survives to this day.
And that is how you end a show business career.

He did not do too bad, but I wish Pierce Bronson would reconsider the part. I understand why he wanted out, but since he has been out, he made enough movies to give him his independence back....

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to read it, but $54 for a 290-page paperback is ridonkulous. My library doesn’t have it, either. :-(

Maybe because he’s pushing 60. Rog was 58 when he did his last one (A View To A Kill), and he was way past the believability point.
