Considering that she’s been recycling the same eight or so comics for 20+ years now, yeah, it’s time to end it.

Not a moment too soon; the strip consisted of the same three or four gags restated in different settings. Sure, she represented women: as shallow, one dimensional freakshows.

That’s a long run. Time just flies, seems like not long ago it began.

It had occasional funny moments, but it’s gotten tired and I’m glad she’s leaving it before it’s totally dead.
The only one I really read anymore is Dilbert.

I haven’t read the comics for years, but I remember Cathy as being fairly interesting and humorous, although I seem to remember some politically motivated cartoons in the last few years- but I could be mistaken it was Cathy.

Cathy, in a word is lame, my fave is a tossup between “The Quigmans” and “Red Meat”.

If only this was Trudeau’s “Doonesbury”.

I once met Cathy Guisewite at a large multiple book signing event where I also happened to meet actress Anne Francis and puppeteer Shari Lewis.
They all were/are terrific ladies.
I liked especially the early Cathy comic strips.
In the past my favorite comic strips included PEANUTS, BC, THE WIZARD OF ID, TUMBLEWEEDS, MUTT AND JEFF, SAD SACK, BEETLE BAILEY, DICK TRACY, PEARLS BEFORE SWINE, MOMMA, HAGAR THE HORRIBLE, BROOMHILDA, LIL ABNER, DENNIS THE MENACE and ERNIE.

The only worse comic is Doonesbury.

...don't even miss the sports section the way pro sports have evolved.
