I imagine the cat, with a depression style, stick and sack knapsack, sitting in the open door of a boxcar riding the rails.

Great story. I wish he could be adopted by the same family that got his brother.

I love cats and this is a cute story. But...
Someone had catnapped him. "How or why that happened, I can't say," said SPCA spokeswoman Jennifer Lu. "But we had the police involved, volunteers looking for him. We were very worried."
Seriously? The cops were out looking or a stray cat that probably just escaped. What reason do that have for believing that it was a catnapping?

Nice story ... hope the cat gets adopted. The media coverage will help. My wife volunteers at the local animal shelter. This is a very well run and well funded animal shelter. Dogs typically get adopted quickly, cats less so.
The shelter has a great selection of both, although I’m mostly a dog lover type I find cats to be very charming.

This is the rocket age, he was the cat that hated people, went to the moon, and was glad to land back anywhere people can step on ya, walk on ya, step on ya...

I don’t know if I can handle any more kitty stories today.

What a beauty. If we were still in Benicia, I’d be applying to adopt him.
YES! I’d take yet another basement cat.

They say he looked as though he had been an indoor cat while in NY, so why didn’t they try to find the NY owners rather than ship him back to SF and an uncertain fate? Doesn’t make sense.
