Well, the new York Times has finally done it! They want to register all welfare recipients to vote, and every single reader comment is against their position. Some samples:
"Well this is just wonderful Maybe everyone should quit trying to find employment and just go down to the blasted welfare office so government can give you a check to make sure you vote for corrupt and incompetent Democrats
"I don't understand why the federal government doesn't just pay welfare recipients for voting. If you vote Democrat, you get a check. If you vote Republican, you get nothing. Why not just be more direct about it?
"It's just wonderful that those populations are being encouraged to vote. But the job isn't finished: why not have the border patrol hand out voter registration cards to illegal immigrants, so they can arrange to vote by absentee ballot?

The replies are awesome! People are pissed, and these libBots keep pushing these idiot schemes. The push-back is quite heartening.

In Maryland (so as to allow welfare rats to maintain their dignity) they are given a “Freedom” card. This is a welfare check appearing as a credit card. The LIBs are soooooo intelligent. I am a cromagnon idiot.

It’s not like their plan is working...since you and I, and everyone else know what the freedom card is for.

...you would think that the NY Times/WaPo would read the comments they get...then maybe they’d have a clue as to why they’re losing money.

RE :”
In April, however, President Obamas Justice Department sent the states a set of guidelines making it clear that it expected full compliance with the public-assistance office section of the law the first time in the 15-year history of the motor-voter law that the Justice Department has explained what kinds of offices are covered and what procedures are to be used. The guidelines make it clear that people applying for benefits must not only be offered the chance to register but must be given help in filling out the forms if they ask. If states do not comply voluntarily, lawsuits are likely to follow....
But the best reason to applaud the Justice Departments new posture is that it will bring more voters into public life. When advocacy groups sued Ohio and Missouri to force their public assistance offices into complying, huge groups of new voters surged onto the rolls more than 100,000 in Ohio, and more than 200,000 in Missouri. Nationwide enforcement by the Justice Department could add millions more. The more people who have access to the ballot, the better the country will be. “
Democrats are so obvious, amnesty for illegals, signing up welfare recipients to vote. Don't forget they claim giving a welfare recipient a dollar stimulates the economy by $2. They really mean 2 Democrat votes.

Since it is online, they probably think this is just a gang of conservative trolls posting, and not their real readership.

We have something similar here in GA, it looks like a debit card with a Giant Peach on it.
To: proxy_user
This is why only those who actually PAY TAXES should be allowed to vote!!
Imagine a country in which people demand the opportunity to pay taxes!!!
It could happen.
But, not here.

This is a welfare check appearing as a credit card.
I guess they figure they are too stupid to figure out how to cash a check.
