I wondered about that, but is that true? Maybe it’s only for visiting churches or the Pope. My other thought was, as much as they deny it, they are Americans and I don’t think we need to bow (literally or figuratively) to European customs. Besides, the Princess is sleeveless as well.

Given who her mother is, I didn’t expect this child would be appropriately dressed. Good grief! She looks like she closed her eyes and blindly pulled out an outfit. It was up to the supposed adults to let her know her choice was inappropriate at best and horrific at worst. Fine for a trip to the local ice cream shop or burger joint, NOT for meeting the Spanish royals. Ugh! And her mother is even worse. At least the kid has an excuse(her age), the First Wookie does not.

The only reason she's meeting them is to "validate the parking" on the Air Force jet and Secret Service protection for her and her 40 or 50 closest friends' vacation. Without this little visit the trip would have been entirely private and the Obamas would have had to pay for a lot more. Drop in on foreign royalty for a few minutes, get her airport parking pass stamped and the chump American taxpayers get to pick up a large share of her vacation bill.
