Inmate kills self by swallowing wet toilet paper

EDINBURG — Authorities in South Texas are investigating the suicide of a jail inmate who apparently killed himself by swallowing wet toilet paper.
Police found Joel de la Rosa, 18, dead early Thursday in the jail in Edinburg, near the Texas-Mexico border. He had been taken into custody about three hours earlier on charges of drug possession and evading arrest.

Speaking of weird ways to commit suicide, a guy in England drilled seven holes in his head and lived! He killed himself by drilling eight holes in his head. (I have a suspicion that a drill press and alcohol were involved.)

He tried to kill himself before, and they stopped him. This time, they supposedly didn’t carte about the previous attempt, and “let” him kill himself.
