AKRON, Ohio -- Talk about your symbolism.
Struggling yet again, Tiger Woods blew his drive on his final hole of the day deep into the gallery and the trees, punched out short of the green and found that his ball had come to rest near a large metal sewer grate.
Phil Mickelson is one shot off the lead in second. Tiger is tied for 74th place and would have missed the cut today but this tourney does not have a cut.
I fogot the link to the story: Sorry
Oh well Too bad...
He was more of a hero when we thought he was a decent guy...
/sarc and pun off
There’s one thing Tiger needs to put his game back on track.
DON'T THINK WITH YOUR DICK!!!
He might as well. Whatever he’s been trying in the last few months hasn’t worked.
Just guessing, but when the protective/confidence based bubble bursts, and all at once your just another smuck competing at a skill game, Sh!t Happens!
Pray for his soul, not his golf game.
While I believe Tiger was on something to bulk up his body, I don’t believe it necessarily made him a better golfer. At this point, his problem is mental, imho. The public now knows he’s really a frickin jerk and and a fake.
"Competitive golf is played mainly on a five-and-a-half-inch course, the space between your ears."
Yeah it’s funny. In Gilgamesh, he has a pal, Enkidu, who is sort of a Mr. Natural superman, until he gets matched up with a prostitute and loses his edge. This concept is used in FORBIDDEN PLANET, when Anne Francis loses her innocence, even if only in thought, and her familiar tiger (!) jumps her and Leslie Nielsen has to zap it. She says, “Why did he do that?” and Nielsen says, “You don’t know?” , which I always thought was expecting a lot. Anyhow, Tiger lost his innocence, in a way.
“Pray for his soul, not his golf game.”
“Pray for MY golf game, not my soul.”
;-)
I saw some of the photos and he looks bigger to me now than he has in a while. His kryptonite has been taken away, though, and it ain’t juice. It’s his not so secret life and god complex. That’s all gone and now he just can’t function. He needs to leave golf for at least a year.
Do steroids and HGH wear off if you have not jacked up on them in a while?
*****************
Do they help you hit the ball straight? I can understand additional length or power, etc but Tiger’s problem today isn’t length but rather it’s accuracy as I see it. I’ve not looked at his putting stats but I don’t think he’s even the putter he was a few years back. How would roids and HGH help that if in fact his putting is somewhat below his previous standard?
"He was despised, and rejected of men."
... don't get mad at me, it's all about "the public".
I might suggest that your priorities are backa$$wards! LOL
I used to read a lot of stuff over at GolfWrx which has some very good golfers but too many Tiger fan boys though the herd is thinning.
One of the first things that can gowith a professional golfer is the hands in the mid to late thirties. It really screws the putting. One reason for belly putters.
The thing I noticed the most from possible steroids and or HGH is the forearms were massive. He did not have those as a kid. Compare this to diminutive and younger Camillo Villegas who was a gym rat at U of Florida. He is very fit and wiry.
A few other more knowledgeable freepers; one guy a good golfer who was trying to go pro and spendt a LOT of time in the gym and another fellow who posts here had good observations about Tiger.
The one gent today said the arms and stregnth helped him in the rough and the PGA created this android. Hitting out of the rough can be very hard.
The fellow who is a very good golfer (FR) said his size was too bigh for spending endless size in the gym. See the red shirt and fist photo. Someone here posted an example with him having pancake on his head. The arms, shoulders etc are just too big.
At a certain point in a person’s life one must realize that to go against the inner conscience does no favor.
you need solid forearms and wrist for sure, especially when ya can't drive worth a darn. ;-)
