Focus cookie?! Did someone say focus cookie??!!!

Last night i was fooling around with my cookie settings and wound up kicking myself off from automatic (convenient) sign in to my account as MissDairyGoodnessVT here on FR. On a attempt to log in during that time I was told I didn't have a FOCUS cookie but I did 2 sys restore and couldn't get back anything (for a number of other reasons)to access my account.
So now I am locked out of my MissDairyGoodnessVT account here on FR. I created this secondary account -"MissDairyGoodnessVTer" just so I could post this message to get some help from jimrob & or admin.
I checked my 2 current email accounts that i have & did a mail search for info from FR but came up with nothing given probably at the time I registered here @ FR i was using a yahoo account that i believe expired and never had any real reason to write down my password since i have been logging on automatically all this time. I couldn't find any information when I did a mail search on my two existing yahoo accounts,either.
I emailed jimrob@psnw.com using my yahoo account because I don't have a POP3 account to contact him from here .
I don't want to lose my comments from the past 2-3 yrs nor the few threads I have posted here on FR either
I haven't heard from admin or jimrob and am getting very antsy on this.I also provided some personal information in the email i sent not only to identify myself but verify my identity.
If there is anyone out here that can help me I would really appreciate it.

Are you sure you haven’t taken over MissDairyGoodnessVT’s identity and are attempting to set yourself up so you can post about cheese that has not been approved by the FDA? We are on to you, sister. Put down that pail of milk and back slowly away from the barn.
OS, email program, and browser you are using are necessary if you think you made these changes. Firewall and anti-virus could be helpful as well. Pretty vague.
You would probably do well to ping John Robinson.
Or maybe some FRiendly FReeper will do that for you.

I ran into the same “focus cookie” issue last night. I just shut down and didn’t think twice about it. This morning I was able to log in just fine.

I don’t think a system restore is going to restore cookies. If your registration profile still exists, which it should since it doesn’t reside on your machine, you should still be able to sign on to that account. If you can’t, maybe John could tell you why.
The cookie is just to keep you from having to log in every time you click to the site.
At least that’s the way I understand it ...
It is possible that this is MissDairyGoodnessNH trying to sneak in here. There is a bit of rivalry between VT and NH. We must be vigilant. ;^)
Not sure what browser you are using but either way you have to make sure that cookies are enabled before logging in to FR.
Are you saying that jimrob stole your cookies?
