A Rockford, Michigan man, Jerry Douthett, woke up one day recently and discovered that his Jack Russell Terrier dog, Kiko, dined on his big toe while he napped. Kiko was also responsible for saving his master's life.

Two weeks ago I watched as my diabetic neighbor’s trained companion dog alerted her that she needed insulin. The dog then retrieved some thingy from her little saddlebag and put it into the lap of my friend. I swear it was like watching a miracle unfold.
