Thank you MEG. I know she is adorable, not just in looks, but in personality. She's a trip. This is one of my favorite pics of her at age 3.

I won't be here much this week. I'm "babysitting" the photography studio's fair booth at the county fair. Hot and tiring.

Friday afternoon, south of Fresno, Amtrak struck an 18 wheeler. The truck stalled; the driver jumped out of the cab and was not injured. The truck was split in half. There were 21 passengers injured.
Therefore, Amtrack was 4 hours late getting to Fresno, so we left Fresno at 12:15am instead of 8:18pm.

Not Amtrak's fault, but this may have been our last train trip. :^)
We have not had good luck with them.

I'm looking forward to a more uplifting report next time.

Amy, you will not believe I heard this on the news early Saturday morning and I got so concerned. I went to Google and did a search and saw where the Amtrak train had hit a large truck and over 20 were injured. I was so worried for a while and I was trying to figure out the times, etc. to be sure it wasn’t your train that had been involved.

I didn’t mention on the thread because I knew you would let us know about it if you all were involved. I didn’t want to alarm anyone!

I didn’t tell you but I had some friends who took a long train trip a couple of years ago and it was a fiasco for them. The husband had always wanted to go and his wife really didn’t but she gave in so he would be happy. I’ll tell you about it when you come home.
