A friend who is a commercial pilot told me about a flight in which he encountered a serious mechanical issuea problem with dangerous implications. When the situation occurred, the warning lights in the cockpit informed him of the problem and he monitored it all the way to the destination, ultimately landing safely.
Once on the ground, the pilot immediately went to the maintenance staff and reported it. To his surprise, the mechanics responded, We already know about the problem and are ready to fix it. When you got the cockpit warning, we automatically got an electronic warning as well.
As he shared that incident, I couldnt help but compare it to Jesus words about our heavenly Father: Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him (Matt. 6:8). He said this in contrast to people who believe that they must use vain repetitions . . . . For they think that they will be heard for their many words (v.7). Jesus presupposes Gods knowledge of and concern for His children.
Even though God knows our needs, He still wants us to share our hearts with Him. He stands ready to hear our prayer and to repair our brokenness by His grace.
Morning, Johnn! The menu is great! You know what really sounds good? The “Spicy Spain”, with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.
I hope they have seating outside this morning. (It will be 104 later today, and will be too warm.)
But, this morning? It is beautiful!
Your table on the veranda is ready, and the service is swift and friendly. Enjoy the morning, the birds are singing, the breeze soft and temp perfect here on the cyber breakfast club.
I have brought the photos and memories of last week’s River Boat cruise with me - I hope I don’t bore anybody. (I only have about 386 photos, but there is a *STORY* behind each one, and I am just dying to share with y’all!)
I agree with Billie ... I don’t really like Vista.
It seems that I am having to reboot pretty often. My keyboard freezes and the only solution is to reboot.
I will be absent most of the day. I have a meeting with Jim and John this afternoon.
I finished with July bookwork .... now I need to get started on August.
I love it, we all get to take a trip with you on the boat!
share and we’ll all enjoy a vacation while sipping our coffee!
Vista...
Vista is why I stuck with XP, at least it works!
Have a safe trip, Amy, and give our best to Jim and John. Glad you finished your bookwork for July - and I hope August can wait until you return from your vacation.
BOUGAINVIELLA OVER RIVER
The flowers were in full bloom,
and,I thought I must be in heaven,
when my eyes fell upon this Gift from God.
This morning my opening is in response to the beautiful opening post for August. The hanging basket in your post is gorgeous, Lori, and made me think about the 4 baskets I have hanging in a huge pine tree in our little backyard/courtyard.
And....after all the rain we had a few weeks ago the crepe myrtle bush beyond the fence has been literally bursting with blooms and was such a pretty backdrop for the geraniums (which, unfortunately were mostly between blooms), so thought I'd share the color with you. On the far left, where the gate is, a couple of bouganvilla plants sit on those two columns. I don't dig in flower beds or tend to rose bushes - if it's not ground cover or flowering trees, pots and hanging baskets are my only attempt at gardening.
Here's my newest friend, Lucy....
Have a wonderful Tuesday,
We are blessed ... to be a blessing.

BOUGAINVIELLA OVER RIVER
Love this! While stationed down south, (Orlando Florida and Charleston South Carolina) I loved the smell of them.
Oh yum..I’ll go with the Eggington, orange juice and a pot of coffee.
106 predicted here..so your delightful weather on the patio sounds where I want to be!
Oh my yes! lovely, yorkie.
The crepe myrtles here have been a treat for the eyes..If I were a poet I’d write an ode to crepe myrtle.as it withstands the hottest weather and keeps on blooming.
Love Lucy!
I agree Lori’s opening was so beautiful.
With Vista, I had to buy some new software since what I had been using would not run on Vista.
I’m ready to upgrade to Windows 7. I always hate to make major changes; it seems I always lose something!!
I have a few things that I will need to finish before Friday.
