Palin DOES NOT want to be worshipped (why are people saying that ?)

Posted on 07/29/2010 8:49:11 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

There seems to be a tactic used by many here and elsewhere to mock Sarah Palin as some kind of messiah figure because she has a lot of fans. This is not only wrong, this is disgusting.

Sarah Palin has never presented herself as an Obama type figure that wants to be seen as a savior. She has been polite and decent on the national stage. She has treated people around this country very good in her time on the national stage.

Yet, some people talk about her as an object or a piece of trash. We have someone around here who calls Sarah Palin "precious" and another person who calls her "Minnie Pearl".

I want some of those out there who mock her on a daily basis to stop and think... Sarah Palin is real human being. And how would Sarah Palin treat you ?

Here is a woman who never had to serve in government, she did by choice. She doesn't have to fight for our country on the national stage, she is doing so by choice. I don't think anyone can question how much Sarah Palin loves America. She loves our troops. She is one of us. She is right on the money with most of her positions on the issues. She sued the federal government so that we could have a right to drill in ANWR for goodness sake. How big of a help would that be to this country if we could use our own energy resources ?

So please, somebody tell. What did Sarah Palin do to be mocked ? What did Sarah Palin do to be mocked as a sock puppet on this site ? What did she do to deserve the hate ?

Again, Sarah Palin is a real person who is a patriot who loves and her country.

where does all of the other stuff come from ?

You know, my wife is a nurse. I am the one at home with our twins most of the time.

She is the bread winner. I work part time at a radio station and im working to finish my degree.

Thankfully, we don’t follow that twisted line of thinking.

No they don’t troll. We are all American people. Successful conservative women do not need the mantle of “feminist” to be a success any more than a black person needs to be called a conservative black person.

Anything otherwise is BS. Anyone selling you anything else is no better than Hillary Clinton.

Sarah Palin disagrees with you evidently. And she is far more successful.

Proof you are an idiot. Proof I have a mind of my own. If Palin thinks like that, she really isn’t a candidate for me.

No she absolutely is not a McCain Republican. She made the mistake of endorsing him. But she is not John McCain. She is real. She really loves America.

She is a Sarah Palin Republican. And look at what she did for Nikki Haley and others.

More BS spin. She supported him because she likes and agrees with him. Nobody twisted her arm.

I think she did it because he is a friend and she felt the need to be loyal. I would have told her not too. I don’t like it. but it is what it is.

Then why would she (Phyllis Schlafly) throw all of that away after all of these years to take a cheap shot at Sarah Palin?

Phyllis Schlafly spoke her opinion. Naturally Palinistas everywhere would call that a 'cheap shot'. Schlafly doesn't think Palin is qualified to be President.

Neither do I.

I am not saying Sarah Palin is Reagan.

Good thing too, because Sarah Palin will NEVER be Reagan despite his deluded son's babbling about "Dad is back in a dress" (one of Michael Reagan's more embarrassing uttereances).

But she is the best thing to happen to the country and conservatism since.

You know, my wife is a nurse. I am the one at home with our twins most of the time.

You are to be applauded then. That doesn't mean that your own family configuration is ideal or optimal. The man has always been intended to be the head of the household, the breadwinner, the protector and provider. Nobody has said that is an absolute standard that must apply under all circumstances, but it is the PREFERRED standard, and that was, and should be yet today, the American Way.

She is the bread winner. I work part time at a radio station and im working to finish my degree.

When you get your degree and get out into the workforce, will your wife continue working, or come home to take care of the kids? I only ask because if you're both at some point capable of working, you'll have to make that decision whether or not to farm the kids out to some day care center, or one of you stays home to raise 'em right.

Thankfully, we don’t follow that twisted line of thinking.

It's not twisted, except to liberals, leftists and those who have always sought to tear down and tear apart the American family.

So where do you stand on it?

No she absolutely is not a McCain Republican. She made the mistake of endorsing him. But she is not John McCain.

She is on the record as saying that she "shares John McCain's vision for America", she has stated that John McCain is a conservative, she has embraced John McCain's views and positions on virtually every issue and she's proud of it.

Tell us what issues she differs with when it comes to her political master McCain?

You aren’t helping her cause (and your cause) if you refuse to acknowledge legitimate critique. I’m not talking about hate, but policy disagreements. I don’t care if it feel like salt in your wounds or not. It’s not about you. If you guys want Sarah to be a contender for POTUS, you’ll have to nut up and be able to steer her onto the right track. Personally, out of all the “front runners” for 2012, I’m leaning towards her, but it’s not very enthusiastic. It speaks more about her opponents than her own characteristics. I would like to see her buff up her conservative and libertarian (small-L) credentials so I could feel better about supporting her. But every time I see a “LEAVE SARAH ALONE!!!!1!1!” rant, it just turns me off.

Well stated, Cabal. I think a lot of Gov. Palin’s supporters are new to the nasty game of politics where nothing is assumed nor trusted without question for a Presidental candidate. We have to nail her down on policy and ideology and can assume nothing about her but her supporters are new to politics and feel threatened by the normal challenge of politics. She’s a Christian? So what -so is Huckster and Rev. Wright.

In their inexperience, the questions on policy and associations (like her dedication to back-stabber McLame) that come with the package to anyone considering a Presidential run, feels scarey and mean and this disadvantages Governor Palin. Because right now, the focus of Palin supporters should be gaining informed support for her rather than polarizing. Polarizing comes during a primary and Palin is far from that. She has yet to shore up support. It is a mile wide and an inch deep right now and Palin supporters should be working to deepen that support right now or she will not survive the primary and election challenges.

The doubts Palin supporters need to answer about McCain, for example, is: does she support McCain progressive political agenda (open borders, cap and trade, closing Gitmo, globalism, reverse hate and discrimination via LaRaza, etc.) or does she part with her friend across the aisle on these traitorous positions? They claim she supports him as a person. The question is - does she support him as a back stabber? We get no answers; only breast beating and crying. So nothing gets solved and her power is diminshed by her noob supporters.

It would be better for Palin supporters to put their energy into nailing Palin down on policy and ideology questions and then arguing to support her positions. Instead we get political babies crying about “attacks” and “haters” and “grizzly moms” like what...mindless illibearls - Obama supporters.

We can not afford anymore mindlessness and unfortunately, that is what we have in Palin supporters at Free Republic. Therefore, it makes no sense to look for answers on Palin. There are none. Her support is mindless for lack of investigation our to fear of the answers.

I am not certain what exactly the future will bring. It will all depend on finances. You know that. It is very hard to survive on one income in this economy. You run out of wiggle room. If I am ever in the position where I can spend more time with Krista and Claire, I would do that. I would work part time again. As long as we are financially stable.

and we would not leave them with just anybody. My sister in law is a babysitter.

I don’t think it would be right to ask my wife to give up a VERY VERY good job so I could go test some waters somewhere.

If I have to be the one to sacrafice, that is fine with me. She carried twins and worked very hard to get her degree. I know traditionally the man is supposed to be the leader of a family. Well, if we were a football team she would be the quarterback. and thats ok with me. times change.

I didn’t like the college I attended in the past. I was taking Broadcasting at Hocking College in Nelsonville and I hated it.

I am now taking classes online in Meteorology. It is just a starting point.

My point was that most of what I know about politics and history is self educated.

I’m still trying to figure out how on the one hand, he can say that the USA deserves 1980’s style Soviet starvation if we reject Palin, and then on the other hand whine that some of us think that sounds a helluva lot like hero worship.

you can’t possibly think I was serious. I say a lot of things in frustration. however, if this country does reject Sarah Palin, I think it would be a shame.
