Yes, even 1st class on US Airways is uncomfortable and terrible. HOWEVER, the last time I checked they still have the best safety record so I overlook the old and dirty planes, bad food, and grumpy personnel.

hey martin.. in early June, a group of girls flew from LAX to DFW. Two of them were unaccompanied minors, the other two were 18 and 19. They were all going to the same place with their parents’ permission and (unaccompanied minor paid fares, whatever that was).
The gate assignment changed, and none of the kids involved were experienced enough to pay close attention. They were all checked in and had boarding passes, but their flight took off without them while they sat at the wrong gate.
The airline? Three guesses.
Most airlines do.
Have you been on Delta lately?
Last two times I flew on USAirways they actually got me and my luggage to the right place and at the right time.
Last two times on Delta they stranded me.
I haven't heard anything about this..?
I just flew them from Norfolk VA to Boise ID and I heartily concur!!!!
That's an extra fee of 100-159 dollars that's SUPPOSED to ensure that airline personnel make sure that the minor ticket holder gets from point A to point B.
Delta was the worst airline I’ve traveled on the past decade. Horrible stewardesses, filthy plane that stunk to high heaven, and they broke both wheels off my suitcase.
I avoid them like the plague.

I sure this isn’t posted on breaking news.
I was working on a contract that required twice a week visits to Canada. Out of habit we flew U.S. Air because when working a government contract, you hafta fly (or at least at time you hadda) a U.S. carrier. When I realized that it wasn’t a government contract, so I could fly Air Canada, my heart sang for joy for months. I < maple leaf > Air Canada.
I do take U.S. Air to and from Huntsville, because American flies through Atlanta and they cancel about half of the Huntsville-Atlanta flights until they got a full boat. U.S. flies through Charlotte, and while they schedule fewer flights, they most always get in and out on time.
