None at Wal-mart? I got 6 ears for 28 cents ea. there last week. I’m buying now from the kid juggling ears in front of the Methodist church.

We don’t have enough illegal immigrant workers to pick the sweet corn since Gov. Brewer passed that racist law. They’re afraid to come out of hiding now.

Sorry bud!

I hear ya! Got some in Northern IL last weekend, finally. The corn crop is ahead of schedule, but sweet corn is behind. Now after 12” of rain in the last 3 days I’m not sure what will happen to the crops.

How’s the rain been?

We’ve had a good watering season.

Maybe you just need to wait for the rain to work its way down?

I know folks that take a coleman stove in the field and will bend a cob down on the stalk into the pot so as they get it fresh

“Sadly I think you are correct.

The crop this year is weak.”

Out here in IL there’s plenty of corn.

I have (sob!) fallen from the True Corn Path, but I gotta tellya, three minutes in the nuker and the little ding makes me start salivating like one of Pavlov's dogs. Summer is my fourth most favorite season but that sort of makes up for it.

This has been an unusually cool, rainy summer in northern Idaho. Today was (I think) the first day we cracked 90. In a couple of weeks we're gonna be buried in the stuff. W00t!
