Can Sellers be credited with the comedic trick of playing multiple roles in the same movie (black comedy: “Dr. Strangelove, not-so-black comedy: “The Mouse that Roared”?

The same trick as used by Eddie Murphy and Tyler Perry, to name a few?

One of my fav movies that I have seen on TV about 10 times is called the “7 Faces of Dr. Lao,” in which Tony Randall plays Dr. Lao / Merlin / Pan / Abominable Snowman / Medusa / the Giant Serpent. It was made in 1963.

He was good at that.

Liked him in Lolita. (he played only 1 character but that character pretended to be other people)
