Thank you Oliver ( head up your a$$ ) Stone!
To: Dogbert41
How does Mr. Stone imagine that he and his industry will remain immune from nationalization? Has he ever actually read any history?

"We shouldn't make this kind of profit on oil or on health or on war or on prisons. All these industries should be public industries."
How come it's OK to get rich selling makeup, scandals, crappy films or crappy music but you are not allowed to get rich providing a truly valuable service or product, like health or energy?
Typical liberal upside-down thinking.

Oliver Stone is an A$$HOLE!
I prefer Oliver Clothesoff!

From IMDB.com:
"After dropping out of Yale University, Oliver Stone became a soldier in the Vietnam War.(snip)
Returning from the war, Stone did not return to graduate from Yale."
So...he dropped out of college and never returned, not to college anyway, but he apparently did go to "film school".
Not to disparage college dropouts, of whom I know many, but what exactly is Oliver Stone's training and education that makes him an expert in international business/oil production/anything other than making crap movies?
Therefore, why should we give a tenth of a flying flip about anything he has to say?

He needs to shut up and keep making movies that suck. I challenge anyone to name one movie that this skitzo has made that didn’t make you want to fall asleep in the first hour.

It’s moving towards that. They just can’t use the word nationalize. They’ll do it a little at a time until it’s the same as nationalized, without anyone saying the word.
To: Dogbert41
The US should nationalize the Venezuelan oil industry along with the Mexican one.

Heck, why stop there? Housing, food, and clothing are even more immediate necessities - shouldn't these also be nationalized to remove the the evils of profit from them as well?
Unbelievable. Do these communists really think that nationalizing industry removes profit incentive and makes industry more efficient? It doesn't - all it does is SHIFT the profit incentive from the actual producers to the parasitic ruling bureaucracy. How is this any different from feudal totalitarianism?

The US should nationalize the film industry. There's no need to do so when we already have dozens of little Leni Riefenstahls eager serving the Party, and what's more, by scamming the public out of billions of dollars to watch thinly-veiled but gorgeously photographed propaganda.

The US should nationalize the film industry. It kind of already is on its' own. It's all left all the time. Most of the right ones are too afraid to speak up.

The US should nationalize the film industry. Hitler would have approved of that too.
As it was, Hollywood shut down production of films critical of Hitler and Nazi Germany in the 1930s and they didn't want to sour Germany as a foreign market for film distribution.

There is no difference, that's exactly where we're heading.
Except for the lefts penchant to come up with new nice sounding names for the rejected policies of the past.
BTW, they are already doing housing (via subsidized Fannie and Freddie) and food (via regulations that will drive small farmers out of business).
They haven't quite gotten to clothes yet, probably because a lot of it is made in China.
