On Monday, July 12th Michelle Obama addressed the NAACP and she spoke at length about her "Let's Move" program, which targets childhood obesity.
"To address this challenge, we need to be honest about how we got here. The way we live today is very different from the way we grew up. Fewer children are walking or biking to school, more families are eating on the run, and children are watching more TV than playing outside."

I stopped-by a place called Ryan's in Michigan City, Indiana today for lunch. It's one of those all-you-can-eat buffet-type places, with decent food.
The people in there were so morbidly obese I caught myself wondering why the government doesn't tax them according to gross weight, like it does trucks.

You said it well. Her remarks really bugged me. My oldest daughter walks to school. Her younger siblings will, at the proper time. And half of us are celiacs, so, for the most part, we don’t eat out, period. So ‘chellebama, stop generalizing about the rest of us, and take the plank out of your own eye.
