Heimdall is known as “the father of mankind” because among his children were slaves, freemen and princes. His sons were not named Thrall Karl and Jarl; Thrall means slave, Karl means freeman, and Jarl means lord or prince.
Odin was indeed famous for wandering, and who knows where he picked up those nine sisters!
Hopefully, like Kingpin in Daredevil (not Spiderman), the actor in the roll will transcend his skin color and play a good character.
