While perusing a website whose name shall not be mentioned, I came across this article.
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
Chicago, IL --(Ammoland.com)- The City of Chicago released its roster of unsafe handguns that cannot be legally possessed in the City because they cannot be registered with the police as one part of obtaining a license to possess a gun, as required under the Citys new gun laws.
But the list is not limited to hand guns as the law is so vague it can be interpreted as to apply to all guns made by a manufacture.
Of comical interest is banning of the deadly Daisy BB Gun Line, probably because of it pure destructive power.
And dont forget Acme. Knowing who we are dealing with here they are probably referring to Acme Corporation from Looney Tunes? The coyote better watch out for Mayor Daley and his thugs now.
So besides a bunch of guns that have not been made in a 100 years what do you see on this list that is funny or raises your eyebrow? Leave us some comments below.
ROSTER OF UNSAFE HUNDGUNS AS DESIGNATED BY THE SUPERINTENDENT
The following handguns have been specifically disapproved by the Superintendent as unsafe handguns and therefore cannot be registered within the City of Chicago.
Where a model or type is not specifically referenced, all models from the listed manufacturer are deemed unsafe.

I spent more time than I should on the boots. rawr
The problem is not the instrument. It’s the human holding the instrument. A responsible, law-abiding person can be holding the instrument and there is no problem. But if a spoiled, irresponsible, coddled, law-breaking person holds the instrument there will be trouble.
Instead of controlling the instrument, they should be controlling the criminal! Ah, but they know that! And they deliberately choose to leave the criminal alone and concentrate on the instrument in the hands of the law-abiding person.
Western Arms also made the list. Isn’t there a tie there to Winchester?
Hey, don’t knock ACME. My grandfather’s double barrel 12 gauge shotgun (with hammers!) was made by ACME.
As far as I know, no road runners were harmed by this gun.

The same cannot be said about coyotes.
I suspect that the ACME Corporation is secretly owned and operated by a shadowy consortium of road runners.
Really sexy, yet potentially dangerous.
I dunno, just sayin.
That’s a hell of a list. And they aren’t all throw away guns.
Nope. Look again.
Where a model or type is not specifically referenced, all models from the listed manufacturer are deemed unsafe.
If it’s not on the list, it’s out. That includes Taurus, Colt, Beretta etc.
If it's on the list it's out. If it's not on the list, it can still be registered. Colt only lists "all derringers" S&W "all spur trigger models" and Taurus and Beretta aren't mentioned.
Cool. My 10mm EAA Witness is legal in that festering cesspool...
that list bans guns with spur triggers and knife guns. I think theyre looking at a gun catalog from 1897.
nice socks...well coordinated.
Come to think of it, my grandfather did have several cases of dynamite, rockets on sticks, and some anvils....
