According to the Gallup Poll, 63 percent of Americans say their sympathies in the Middle East conflict are with Israel, while 15 percent side with the Palestinians. The rest favor both sides, neither side or have no opinion.
Support for Israel was higher only in 1991, shortly after Israel was hit with Scud missiles during the Gulf War, when it was at 64 percent.
The poll, conducted in early February, was part of Gallup’s annual World Affairs survey in which Americans were asked a series of questions about their opinions of 20 countries or entities, including Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Israel’s ranking, at 67 percent favorable, was among the highest of the countries surveyed. The Palestinian Authority, at 20 percent, was among the lowest.
Support for Israel increased more among Republicans and independents than Democrats, the poll showed. Since 2001, there has been an increase of 25 points among Republicans and 18 points among independents. Support for Israel among Democrats has stayed about the same.
Asked whether peace eventually will be reached in the Middle East, 67 percent of respondents answered “doubtful” and 30 percent said “there will come a time” when there will be peace.
In a general trend over the past 10 years, Democrats were more optimistic than Republicans about the chances for peace. Thirty-nine percent of Democrats said it will come; 25 percent of Republicans agreed.
Pollsters conducted telephone interviews with a random sampling of 1,025 American adults between Feb. 1 and 3. The poll has a 4 percent margin of error.

How can true peace EVER COME to the entire Middle East? I don’t see it as ever happening.

There will be no peace from land giveaways. There will be no peace from diplomatic negotiations. There will be peace when Meshiach comes. Again.
Or, when we kill all of the bad guys...each and every one of them.
Yes, and it will be a lasting and true peace! However there will be a few years of “false” peace..a deception ahead. Just as has been seen in the past. But there will be no gennuine peace til He comes...and thank God He will indeed!
Praise God for this news! It gives me a glimmer of hope that God may yet have mercy upon us, and extend our days a bit longer....

Well, no matter anyone’s opinion, this sorry excuse for a U.S. President makes it less likely to happen.
Obama sat in a church for twenty some years that preached a pro-Palestinian, anti-semite message. Unfettered, there is no telling the harm he could do to Israel. When is the last time you heard Obama forcing conditions on the pali’s?
The Israelis take a small patch desert and turn it into a first world nation in under a generation...the Arab Musselmen, excepting the Caliph and his court, have lived in barbarous squalor for seven hundred years.

Add our domestic enemies to this list and you will see even more positive results.
I see it
Back in the 1940s (and earlier) many leaders of Arab villages were eager to welcome Israelis because the correctly saw that Jewish immigration was improving their lot. Those who chose to stay put (and their descendents) are full citizens of the State of Israel.

In a perverse way, I think Obama has helped with increasing Americans’ support for Israel.
There is something to this American Exceptionalism that Obama and his Administration constantly belittle.
It may be here again manifested and evidenced in the fact that even withstanding the onslaught of anti Israel propaganda, only the American people, of all the people of the World, can still choose right from wrong.
I think that there will only be peace through divine intervetion.
