I saw Roy Rogers at Madison Square Garden when I was a little kid. At the end of the show, he rode Trigger around the ring and my Father told me to run down there and put my hand out.

Roy came by and touched all the kids hands as he rode by, including mine. It's one of my cherished childhood memories, along with meeting Dale Robertson at an amusement park called Freedomland.

Hard to believe it was over 50 years ago.

I obviously don't get out much either. LOL

I envy you.

Roy was before my time. I learned of him later. My mom is/was still a huge fan. I was stunned that an American actor was so Christian and pro-America.

We've fallen further than our ability to measure.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

For me...I was in the 5th grade...it was in the old Houston Coliseum.

I spent many Saturday afternoons with Dale, Roy, Trigger, Gabby and their gang...then we went home and played it.

I wrote to them when I was six and got a postcard from them. I would have been so thrilled with a touch. They were the parents I wanted.

Same here, in Tulsa in 1951. Still drink an occasional hot chocolate (not Ovaltine anymore)out of my genuine plastic RR cup. Saw Trigger and RR Jr. on opening day in Branson. Happy Trails, KC.
