Men accused of beating Porky Pig at theme park

GURNEE, Ill. (AP) -- Police said authorities at Six Flags Great America ejected two off-duty employees from the theme park after they allegedly attacked a female colleague dressed as "Porky Pig."

Gurnee Police Sgt. Jon Ward says two young men took a photo with Porky on Monday afternoon, and then punched the mascot in the head 10 to 15 times.

This kind of thing has gone on for years. About 10 years ago my D-i-L was the Easter Bunny at the mall. Some parents brought their newborn for a First Picture w/the Easter Bunny. 4 kids on the upper level threw a bottle. It hit the plastic bunny head and JUST missed the newborn. That wasn’t the only incident but it was the last. She quit. And those brats could have seriously injured the newborn.

I doubt beating "Porky" would have the same emotional impact for litle onlookers as would giving Mickey a good thrashing.
