Things aren't going well for the original Dark Lord of the Sith.
Dave Prowse, who wore the Darth Vader costume in the first three 'Star Wars' films, has been banned from the forthcoming Lucas Film Star Wars Celebration party in Orlando, Florida. Not only that, he's been told his presence won't be welcome at any Lucas Film/Star Wars-related events.
There could be a reason, though, seeing as Uncle George is probably fuming at the comments Prowse recently made to SlashFilm about not receiving any residual payment for 'Return of the Jedi' -- because it didn't make a profit(!):

Lucas has really proved himself to be a big Hollywood fraud. Notice that his best movies, i.e. THX, Raiders, SW:IV-VI, american Graffiti, were all made before he became so powerful that no one could tell him, “No”. Now that he has total control of his films they reek. SWI-III were an incoherent incompetent mess.
Now, ripping off the people who made him what he is, whose credit he steals, is beneath contempt. Typical Hollywood Mogul: Talk like a Hippie, act like a Mafia Don.
Not only is the fact that no one could tell him “No” a problem, but IMHO, his movies were only good when he didn’t write the screenplay! (specifically they were good when Larry Kasdan DID write the screenplay!)
Lucas IS the Evil Emperor. I am so sick of Lucas’ meglomaniacal attitude toward all of the people that made him what he is; including those of us that have spent our pittance on his eye candy.
People cannot even use the word “droid” without having to pay him for it. Just because he shortened the word android (as if no one else has ever done that)and used it in his movies; now he owns the word and no one better use it unless they pay him or expect the wrath of the Emperor.
He even sent his lawyer minions to an asian company that has created a powerful blue laser pointer that possibly could look like a light saber if you choose to see it that way. It’s not a knock-off or replica... just sort of resembles it.
I am also sick of him soaking us with endless re-releases. “Ooooh I put in an extra alien here and there and totally ruined the end of Jedi; now you all have to buy the set again! Muahahahaha!”
Last year I banned anything to do with him from my home for one year- no Star Wars, even shows that talked about Star Wars, Lucas or anything about him. I was actually suprised at how hard it was to avoid Lucas-related things. But it was worth it to me. I may have been a single small rebel against his empire, but it still made me feel better.

A few months ago, I watched that whole review in one sitting. It’s perfect, and brilliant, and should be shown to every student in film school. Seriously, if I had watched that video before I gave $100,000 to NYU for my MFA, I’d be a happier (and less debt-ridden) person.
And there’s a follow up on...um...whatever the second prequel is called. I can’t even remember, that’s how much I’ve blocked the prequels out. And Ican’t even watch the original 3 without a bad taste in my mouth...it’s like George Lucas raped my childhood!!! Ok, that was hyperbole, but...
