Vanity - Son's Wedding in unfamiliar area

My son is getting married on Silver Beach,in St Joe, Michigan at the end of the month. I have hotel reservations at the Silver Beach Hotel but have been offered a camper if I could locate a camp space. I tried going to the Mich State Park site yesterday, wow, slow, no helpful maps, waste of my time. If someone could recommend a place to park withing 10-20 miles I would be eternally grateful. The camper solves my need for attempting to provide part of a rehearsal dinner, so I'm hoping something is available. But I do know that the weekend of the 31st is the busiest of the year because of some local event, maybe a triathalon. I'm in Indiana about 108 miles from St Joseph, Michigan. Thanks for any help you can offer this proud mother of the groom, who returned from a tour in Iraq with the Army's 39th MPs last year and is finishing his college education now.

It’s a very pretty area. I know they have a Holiday Inn right down the street from Silver Beach. They have camping at Weko Beach but that’s about 15 miles north. The Warren Dunes also has camping but that area is really busy all summer long.

Well, at the moment because we are so far away they are planning a cookout and I would have to make things back here and take up there with all the wedding paraphernalia I have to cart. My hotel room has a small fridge but not even a microwave. The camper has a stove and sink and fridge. And compare the over 500 dollar price tag of the room and the cost of gas camper.

Got a lot of strange at Warren Dunes in the early 70’s!!! Can be windy as he$$ as I recall.

I'm learning a lot about Michigan. I've only been to the Upper Peninsula which I fell in love with, but I have learned that there is a Silver Beach town that is different from Silver Beach in St Joseph, Michigan.
